I also noticed that keeping my old campaign progress save (not a game save) somehow raised the difficulty level to the restarted game. Watching a YouTube for tactical advice did not help because the YouTube contributor was playing a much earlier version of the game which has a much, much more favorable outcome that the game developer must have change to keep the game more balance, such as landing a Critical strike almost, at least once, in every combat-AT LEAST ONCE. I cannot even get a 'cheap' victory (to gain time and assets) when the game reported that my squad member(s) level is (are) too high.Īdmittedly, I made tactical mistakes which compounded the problem. Even low level missions were no longer available to take on.

I cannot buy the minimal provision to keep the squad viable. I cannot keep up with the unending expenses of upkeeping them, and other lesser members of de-stressing them and removing ailments and afflictions from them. I think it was mine seventh restart, when I reached around the 50th week, when I started losing my favorite squad members.
